Available on backorder - This item may take 2-3 weeks to deliver.

The HI95747-01 are reagents for the colorimetric determination of copper using a compatible benchtop or portable photometer. These high quality reagents are clearly marked with the lot number and expiry date on each packet for traceability.

The HI95747-01 is a box of 100 reagents Copper, low range for use with the HI83099-02, HI83300 and HI83200-02.

The HI95747-01 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate colorimetric measurements. The method is an adaptation of the USEPA approved bicinchoninate method. The reaction between copper and the reagent causes a colour change in the sample. By simply adding the reagent to the sample, a reaction will take place and a compatible photometer can be used to determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The unit results will be displayed as μg/L (ppb) or mg/L (ppm) of copper. These reagents are designed to be used with freshwater samples that have an expected range of 0 to 1000 μg/L copper for the benchtop photometers and 0.000 to 1.500 mg/L for the portable photometer.

*This reagent uses the Bicinchoninate method

Tip for an accurate measurement

It is important that the sample does not contain any debris.

When the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion.

Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove such bubbles by swirling or by gently tapping the cuvette.

Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost.

After the reading, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.
