Pool Line pH and mV Precision Simulator – HI9310014

HI9310014 is great tool to identify the operation of pH and ORP meters including process controllers. Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether an issue is with the meter or the probe. By simply connecting the HI9310014 to your meter’s input socket and turning the dials, pH readings can be simulated from 0.00 to 14.00 pH in 0.01 steps and in the mV range the output from -1000 to +1000 mV in 1 mV steps.

In the pH range the HI9310014 outputs a signal as according to the Nernst equation. A pH 7.01 signal is mV and each pH unit has a change of 59.16 mV based at 25°C. A pH 8 would have an output of -59.16 mV and a pH of 6 would have a +59.16 mV. The span of a pH meter can be checked. Note that the values can be displayed differently on the meter if using a meter that has been calibrated with a probe. Calibrating the meter with the simulator should show the same readings throughout the 0 – 14 pH range.

In the ORP range theHI9310014 outputs a signal from -1000 to 1000 mV. This range can be used to check the span of an ORP meter to verify its’ performance.

The HI9310014 connects to any voltmeter that uses a BNC connector. The HI9310014 provides pH/mV values with a 25°C reference temperature. A low battery indicator will be shown when the simulator battery runs low.
